Overview

Really Simple Arcade does not include advertising, cross-app tracking, or a developer-operated account system. The app does not sell personal information. Its games can be played offline.

The Product analytics section below applies to versions that include About > Privacy > Share Anonymous Usage. Earlier versions without this feature do not send these analytics events.

Game data and purchases

Game settings, saved game state where supported, high scores, and the analytics preference are stored on your device. They are not uploaded as game content or synchronized through a developer-operated account.

Apple processes optional game-pack purchases and tips through StoreKit and manages purchase and Family Sharing entitlements. The app uses Apple-verified purchase information to unlock games, restore purchases, and recognize eligible previous paid-app purchasers. The developer does not receive payment-card details or your Apple Account identity. Limited purchase-outcome analytics are described below; receipts, transaction identifiers, payment information, and a list of your owned products are not sent to the analytics service.

Product analytics

When enabled, the app sends limited product analytics to the developer’s Veda service using the Rasiel library. Veda is hosted on Railway. These event counts help the developer understand which games people choose, whether opening a game leads to playing it, and whether purchase flows work.

The events describe:

  • Opening the app, Store, or optional Other Apps screen.
  • Opening a specific game and separately starting a round of that game. In-game moves, jump inputs, scores, board contents, and game results are not sent.
  • Opening a game-pack offer and whether it was opened from Home or the Store.
  • Attempting a game-pack or tip purchase, the selected product, and a broad result: purchased, pending, cancelled, or failed.
  • Attempting to restore purchases and whether the restoration request succeeded or failed. This does not report which products were restored.

Each event includes its name, an event timestamp, the app’s source name, environment, app version/build, platform, and analytics-library version. The service also records when an event is received. A random identifier for each event supports delivery acknowledgements and duplicate prevention; it is not a person, device, installation, or session identifier.

The app does not send names, email addresses, user/account/device/installation/session identifiers, advertising identifiers, location, personal input, payment details, receipts, transaction identifiers, or free-form error messages in analytics. The developer does not combine events into individual user profiles, match people across apps or devices, sell analytics data, or share it for advertising.

Share Anonymous Usage is enabled by default when analytics is configured, unless you have already saved a choice. You can turn it off in About > Privacy. Your choice is stored on that device and preserved across app updates; it is not synchronized between devices. Turning it off stops collection and deletes unsent queued events. Activity while it is off is not replayed if you enable it later. Already-received events are not deleted by turning it off.

Sending events requires an internet connection. Unsent events are stored locally for up to seven days and may be discarded sooner when the queue reaches its size limit. The games remain playable without an internet connection or when analytics is disabled.

Received production events are retained without a fixed expiration so the developer can compare activity over time. Encrypted database backups are retained for 30 days; copies downloaded by the developer require separate deletion. Turning analytics off or deleting the app does not remove events already received. Because the events have no person or installation identifier, the developer cannot reliably locate one person’s events for an individual deletion request. You may email questions about analytics or retention; please do not send personal identifiers to try to identify analytics events.

Network processing and Other Apps

Railway and other network providers may process ordinary network information, including IP addresses, request times, and request information, to deliver, operate, and protect their services. IP addresses are not included in the app’s analytics payload or Veda’s event database. The developer does not use infrastructure logs to identify people or link their app activity. This network processing is separate from the nonidentifying product events described above.

When you open the optional Other Apps screen, the app downloads a developer-authored catalog from https://rlziii.com/projects/other-apps.json. The request does not include game data, preferences, purchase state, contact information, or an app-generated user identifier. The website’s hosting provider may process standard network information such as IP address, request date/time, and user-agent information to deliver and protect the service. The developer does not use this catalog request for analytics or tracking.

The app then sends the catalog’s public App Store identifiers to Apple’s iTunes Lookup service and downloads app-icon artwork from Apple’s content-delivery network. These are app identifiers, not user identifiers. Apple’s services, including purchases and App Store pages you choose to open, are subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy. If these requests fail, the game features remain available.

Support and your control

If you email the developer, the developer receives your email address and whatever information you choose to include, and uses it to respond to your request. Support messages are not combined with product analytics. Do not include sensitive information that is unnecessary for support.

Deleting the app removes its local settings and unsent analytics queue, subject to any device backups managed by Apple. Purchases remain associated with your App Store account and can be restored through Apple. Deleting the app does not delete analytics already received by Veda.
