txtadv is intended for players age 16 and older. AI-generated adventure content may include suspense, peril, violence, or other mature themes appropriate to that audience.

Privacy policy

Information collected

txtadv does not include advertising or third-party advertising trackers, and does not sell personal information.

The app and its developer-operated service process the information needed to provide accounts, saved adventures, AI-generated story turns, stamina, and optional in-app purchases:

An internal account identifier associated with Sign in with Apple. Apple may provide an email address or private relay address according to the choices you make in Apple’s sign-in flow.
Adventure selections, generated narratives, the choices you select, saved story state, generated adventure titles, completion status, and the identifiers needed to save, resume, share, or delete an adventure.
Stamina balances and accounting records needed to apply free stamina and charge generated story turns.
App Store purchase identifiers and verification evidence needed to credit consumable stamina purchases and prevent duplicate credits. Apple processes payment details; txtadv does not receive your full payment-card information.
Limited technical diagnostics, such as request identifiers, timestamps, response status, retry state, provider/model identifiers, token totals, and latency. Diagnostics are designed not to contain adventure prose, private prompts, access tokens, Apple credentials, or purchase secrets.

Service providers

txtadv uses the following service providers to operate the app:

Apple provides Sign in with Apple and StoreKit in-app purchases.
Supabase hosts authentication, the application database, and server-side API functions.
OpenAI generates and moderates adventure content. Requests are made by the txtadv server rather than directly by the app, and OpenAI API response storage is disabled for these requests. Story context still must be sent to OpenAI to generate the next turn.

Data retention and control

Adventure history and account data are retained so you can resume active adventures, revisit completed adventures, maintain stamina, and recover verified purchases. An adventure is retained until you permanently delete it or delete your account.

Deleting an adventure permanently removes its generated title, narrative, choices, and saved story state from player-facing systems. Minimal records may remain when required for purchase accounting, stamina accounting, idempotency, fraud prevention, security, or legal obligations. Spent stamina is not restored by deleting an adventure.

Privacy-safe operational diagnostics are normally retained for no more than 30 days. Security, purchase, accounting, and legal records may be retained longer when reasonably necessary for those purposes.

The app provides controls to delete individual adventures and share a copy of adventure history. Before the public release, the Settings screen will also provide account-data export and account deletion. Until then, or if you cannot access the app, email rlziii@icloud.com to request access, export, correction, or deletion of your account data.

Deleting the app from a device does not by itself delete information stored by the txtadv service. Signing out also does not delete saved adventures or the account.

Security

txtadv keeps OpenAI and other server credentials off the device. Network requests use encrypted HTTPS connections, authenticated accounts, server-side authorization, and database access controls. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
